Instagram for iOS was updated on Friday with new support for shooting photos and Instagram video clips in landscape mode. It also adds support for shooting video with the front-facing camera using its new ?Cinema? feature, which helps alleviate any shakiness thanks to software image stabilization.
Landscape mode doesn?t change a whole bunch: in fact, you?re still shooting with the same square viewfinder that you always shot with, though the icons flip to reflect that your phone is being held in landscape mode instead of vertically.
The company also said the update fixes bugs and offers other improvements, although it didn?t discuss the bug fixes or what has been improved. The update is available now.
